INDIE GAME DEVELOPER

ABOUT ME

Where do I begin? Well... My name is John. Obviously.

I was born in London in 1968. I have lived in Manchester since 2000, with my wife and children. We do not have any pets, however we do have many computers.

As you may have read on the home page, I am a College Tutor. That is my "proper job". I teach English, maths and ICT, mainly to adult learners, but I also teach apprentices, when necessary.

I am going to take a guess, a wild stab in the dark if you will, and say that you are probably not interested in that, and you came to this website for the games.

I have been interested in programming since I got my first computer, the Dragon 32, back in the early eighties, and spent many years working in the I.T. sector in various roles, before turning my hand to teaching in 2010.

Teaching, whilst being a very rewarding occupation, allows me the luxury of developing games as a hobby, without the stress of having to "make a living" out of it, which means that I can concentrate on the fun aspects of development without the pressure of deadlines.

And that, in a nut-shell, is me. I hope you enjoy playing the games I have developed, and can find some time to give me feedback, good or bad, via the contact me page.

Oh, one more thing... if you do enjoy playing my games, please do make a contribution, via my itch.io page, (there is a donate button on the individual game pages) as this will help to fund future game development.

How, you may ask. Well, I have to pay developers licenses, and there are certain assets, (parts used in games) which I have to purchase, as I don't have hundreds of hours to spare, just to re-invent the  wheel. All of these have to be paid for.

Thanks for reading!
